Dulux Accredited Powder Coater Program

We are proud to announce that Powder Coating Services Ltd has been certified by leading industrial powder coating manufacturer Dulux as a registered applicator of its architectural powder coatings.

The Dulux Accredited Power Coater Program connects you with trusted local applicators, ensuring top-notch work and service throughout New Zealand. Teamed with the quality results from Dulux Powder Coatings, it provides everything necessary to ensure your project is executed with confidence and precision.

A Dulux Accredited Power Coater:

    • Can issue Dulux Alumi Shield Warranty & Dulux Steel Shield Warranty
    • Provides assurance of quality satisfaction
    • Is audited and certified by Dulux
    • Utilises quality Dulux Powder products
PCS is an Accredited Powder Coater for Dulux Powders NZ and an Approved Applicator for Interpon Powder Coatings. There will be an administration fee associated with warranty
documentation and testing of warranty samples. Warranty samples will go through tests for permeability, Corrosion Testing (500 &1000 hours acetic acid salt spray testing), Film Thickness measurement, PMA Solvent Cure Test, and a Cross Hatch Adhesion test. 
 
There are 2 types of Dulux Warranty documentaion we can provide:
  • Alumi Shield Standard Product Warranty is available for warranty grade Dulux Powder coat products on architectural grade aluminium when applied by a Dulux Accredited Powder Coater. we will simply need to check your project’s location before confirming the product suitability and warranty validity.  
  • Commercial Project Warranty: Applicable to the Alumi Shield Warranty and Steel Shield Warranty, this requires a pre-approval process, which assesses project suitability for the specified product.

    It is important to define your project correctly to ensure the correct product is specified and the performance and warranty is able to be gained for your project.

     

    Both project type and the environment (conditions) will impact on the exposure of the powdercoat to elements such as UV, dirt and salt. For instance, marine and coastal environments are exposed to winds and sea salts, which have a long-term impact on the performance of coating systems due to erosion and weathering, and commercial projects will be exposed to greater environmental impacts, whether they be the usage of the environment or the height of the building.

     

    To ensure products are fit for these environments Dulux recommends suitable products based on the AS3715 and AAMA testing standards. These standards provide a benchmark of product quality that are an assurance that your asset will be protected by a product fit for purpose.
