Tākina Wellington Convention Centre

The Wellington Convention Centre project, completed in October 2022, involved the application of Duratec Zeus solid colour range powder coating to sheet aluminium cladding. Fabricated by Ullrich Aluminium, the exterior cladding was coated in a sleek Black Matt finish, offering both aesthetic appeal and long-lasting durability. The Duratec Zeus range is backed by the Alumi Shield™ Commercial Project Warranty, ensuring superior performance for architectural aluminium applications, including perforated and expanded aluminium, when applied by a Dulux Accredited Coater like the Powder Coating Services. The coating was applied in accordance with the warranty specifications to suit the specific project environment and conditions.

Located in Wellington, this high-profile project required coatings that could withstand the challenging exterior environment, offering resistance to fading, corrosion, and wear. The actual coated area of the project was 118.5 square meters, which was completed within the set timeline. The warranty for the project was issued on April 20, 2023, guaranteeing the integrity and longevity of the finish. 

The use of Duratec Zeus Black Matt not only provided a protective finish for the cladding but also contributed to the overall aesthetic of the Wellington Convention Centre, ensuring its exterior remains pristine for years to come.
